Are their any problems with requesting a free car insurance quote from progressive.com?

Will they start sending me all kinds of crap in the mail and will it hurt me in any way?

They don’t send anymore unwanted adverts than anyone else.

After you use the information they give you to make a decision deactivate your Progressive signon and account.

I don’t remember any snail mail from them after I requested a quote.

I had Progressive for awhile, found GEICO to be a better fit for me. Less money, better coverage, you know those things…

Good luck with the insurance game.

Yes it is safe to use progressive’s website to do your own quote. There is a check box I believe after you enter your information that says something like "please send me lots of spam by email, phone and postal mail". Make sure you uncheck that little box, and you’ll get an email for the quote you did, or a reminder about the quote you did, but thats it.

please dont quote your own insurance online with anyone. call an independent agent and have them look at all their companies for you. most people dont actually know what coverage limits they need and end up in trouble when they have a claim. this way if you ever need help, you will have an actual person to help you. when you go through a company direct, you never get the same person twice. a lot of independent agents write with Progressive if you want them

Ditto Queen B.

If you only want to use Progressive to get free quotes….you can get free quotes from any independent agent.

(Independent agent means that they are not an agent for just ONE insurance company – like State Farm agents. They ONLY offer/provide service/quotes etc for State Farm)

Insurance Agents can offer you a variety of products that you may not even know are available to you.

Good luck with your search.

Nope, none of that will happen.

You might be better off requesting a quote from a site that provides free quotes from multiple companies. You should look into it…it helped save me hundreds.
