Does my dad need to be in the car policy if I'm using under my his car insurance policy?

He’s not going to be driving and it’d be nice if he’s not on the car but they allow me to still use under his policy.

The name on the policy must match the name on the title of the car and the name on the tags. So, he can only list cars he owns on his policy. You can’t get tags for someone else’s car, either.
