Hi, I just bought a car and I need to get insurance asap so I can drive. A friend told me you can get free insurance quotes from websites online. Is it true?

Yes you can get free quotes on line. But why would you? You can call and get free quotes from live licensed insurance agents. And, they may can advise you on different things along the way. And, the advice is free too.
So, call some local life insurance agents for some quotes.
