How to get a Bad Credit Car Loan?

by admin on March 24, 2010 · 2 comments

I have bad credit from when I was in college. I have tried getting a car at several different dealerships and they all want a cosigner. I don’t have anyone. Is there any where I can get a bad credit car loan that is reputable. I own my own house, I don’t understand why I can’t get a loan and secure it with my home.

You can not get a auto loan and secure it with your home.

You can borrow money against your home, meaning the home would no longer be paid for, with the money you get you can purchase the car with cash.

Have you tried a company called Roadloans.com? They make loans for people with less than perfect credit. They are a reputable company. My sister applied with Capital One Auto, they turned her down, but referred her to Roadloans.com, so they are affiliated with Capital One Auto.

NEVER buy a car using your house as collateral! ugh! Not smart!
Second, if you have bad credit, the only way you would get financing if even there..would be a buy here/pay here type of lot. You will need a decent sized down payment though, and will be paying a high interest rate.

The thing is, if you have the decent sized down payment the car lot is going to want…you do better just getting a car for cash and then save up for decent car while repairing your credit file.
