As I’m a new driver, my parents told me to seek on the internet for insurances quotes, to help me handle my own things. So yeah i’m looking for websites that offer free car insurances quotes.

hey alex congrats on being a new driver an im sorry for the things you are going to find out about insurance. i used to sell insurance an i can tell you that for a new driver it will be expensive. as in maybe as much or more than a car payment. there are several factors that can cause a variance an companies rate drivers differently in different states. to get a realistic quote they will need several things. one is the vin # of the car you will be driving. if you own or will be making payments will affect the rate also. answer financial will be give you quotes from several companys but you will have to talk to a representative for it. you can also go to progressives site an they can give you rates from a few companys too. the cheapest way would probably be to have you listed as an occasional driver on your parents policy.

Tom R is close, but no cigar. If you’re under 18, your ONLY choice is your parents’ policy, since you can’t contract for insurance as a minor. If you’re 18 or older, you can. What I do, to keep my current company honest, is set up an email account with any of the providers–Gmail, Yahoo, etc., use that address for the quote, read the quote when it comes in, then delete it, unless it’s very good.

Try comparison websites as they search many different insurance providers to get the cheapest deals. Check out http://theycompare.co.uk , http://confused.com , http://gocompare.com etc. These sites are all free to get car insurance quotes.

There is no one "best" or "cheapest" carrier. You’ll have to call around, give your social security number to have a credit check, give them the vehicle information, and get a bunch of quotes to figure out which carrier is cheapest FOR YOU

Just a reminder, if you are under 18 you can only be insured under your parents policy, otherwise expect to pay perhaps 4 times the price they do. Besides the online quotes that might compare a few companies they carry, about 1/2 of the U.S. states provide sample rates charts of all the companies that operate in the state.
Here are links to all the state departments, you will usually find useful shopping guides there too.
