A family member (who has just turned 18 and has no credit history) is being quoted an interest rate that is higher than any I have ever personally witnessed. I have heard that there is a maximum interest rate here in the state, but can find no information to support this assertion.

most states do not have a limit on title loans — but if he does not like the rate tell him to shop around until he finds a cheaper one == that is why i always advise first car buyers to buy chearper cars and pay cash and then save for the better car down the line!!!!
