Look for a loan in just your name. That will keep them from looking at his credit history.
Also, tell him to man up and support the kid. I cant understand what you wrote, but hopefully it’s that he’s caught up and current.

unfortunately lenders are like the courts they frown on child support arrearage. there are a few secondary lenders that will approve a loan with cs collection on your credit but you pay a very high interest rate because they consider you (your husband) as a high risk. try getting the loan in your name and using his income as other source on the Application.

As noted, you ill need to get it in just your name, but he needs to get this paid off as soon as possible, as they are adding 15% annual interest. He gets billed for that after the initial amount is paid. Contact TFER for any additional ideas.
