trying to get an auto insurance quote?

Im trying to get an auto insurance quote for my new vehicle but one of the questions I’m asked when filling out the online forms is when I had my last accident. What do I do if I truthfully do not remember the month but do remember the year?

Forget the on line nonsense, and talk to an independent agent who will use his data base of companies to find you the best deal. The side benefit is you will have a local agent to talk to rather than an 800 number or web page.

just make up a month that you think may be close, if in fact you decide to choose that insurance company then they will pull a motor vehicle report and it will have the exact date on it. no worries

Just pick a month that you think it’s the closest. They will find out about it anyway once they check your driving record.

I’d say give it your best estimate and let them know when you call them up. If you’re in Canada try http://www.belairdirect.com. I’m with them and they were really friendly!
