   There is no cheap insurance that a 16yo can get on their own. It is best to register the car in your parents name and be listed as the secondary driver with liability only insurance.

   The best price is probably adding the driver to the parent’s policy.
   The parent should limit the driving times and number of passengers until the driver gains experience.

   In some contries a 16yr old legally drive on the road.

   If your countries laws allow this expect to pay through the nose, due to the judgemental and ageist human race.

   Insurance for people 19 & under can be expensive. You may want to try getting a quote online. I am paying less than ½ of what I was before.
